What do we do when we KNOW something inside of us must change, but we don’t know how to change, or even how to articulate what’s needed? Perhaps when we feel trapped in a cage, and yearn for freedom? This poem, written several years ago, asked the LORD for “new shoes.” It was my heart’s cry to my precious LORD and Healer for help. Of course, He answered me, and He continues to answer me. It is part of my book, “FREEDOM: True Freedom Lasts Forever.” I thought it would be a blessing to share, as so many of us are in the midst of major transformation. Sitting on the edge of the bed, wondering how I got here, and how I was led, wanting to fly into eternity’s rhyme, finding myself at a loss for time.
So where’s the rhythm, where’s the flow? Into Your Heart I was supposed to go. Yet here I sit on the edge of the bed, wondering how I got here and how I was led.
Inside of You, I fly into truth. Inside of You I am the good news. Inside of you eternity beats. Your rhythm puts everything under my feet.
Wasn’t it easy when we first began? Then came the hardships. The stress. The demands. I’m trying to find our first freedom again. Our first romance, when on your feet I danced.
Has something gone wrong or has something gone right? I’m still hearing your rhythm, so why do I fight? You’re calling me upwards, I can’t handle the light. I’m dying inside, but I’m hungry for life.
So here I am. No demands. No preoccupations. No other plans. Just to wait upon You. Laughter or blues. My life is forfeit but I need new shoes.
To dance a romance, brand new, with you.

Your Rhythm is tender. Your Flow is slow. Into Your Heart I’m now ready to go. I wear Your Shoes to carry Your News. Your Love in my heart, my mind filled with Your Truth.
