Dear Friends,
Shalom!
This year, Passover provoked me more powerfully, more passionately, than any Pesach I can remember.
Like the Israelites who left Egyptian civilization for the honing, growing adventure of the desert, God has been calling me into a wilderness I can not explain … not a wilderness of circumstances, but of understanding, a place where I can not rely upon my own comprehension, but need to rely upon God for everything. In the original Exodus, the old generation had to die out for the new generation to arise and take the Land. Even though they perished, their clothes and their shoes remained in good condition. God provided for absolutely everything they needed, but killed them utterly and comprehensively in the process, making room for His generation, the new generation, to truly follow His lead. The new generation, raised in the wilderness by God Himself, could conquer giants without even thinking about it. Anybody relate? If we let God kill the old man within us, so can we. Just follow the Cloud. The Fire. His Word. His Spirit. Provision. Death. Blood on the door. New life.
Although the world itself entered into a spiritual wilderness over the past two years, God has been guiding His faithful into His Promised Land. Many of us have been discovering huge blessings of provision and encouragement, greater and greater realms of His Glory, even as we have been watching, with sorrow, the tragedies unfurling around us. It has been a Psalm 91 experience for many of us, though definitely not for all. But following His fire by night and cloud by day, obeying Him out of our passionate love, we discover the joys of His Goodness, regardless of our circumstances. He takes such good care of us our shoes don’t even wear out. (Deuteronomy 29:5)
I believe the attached podcast will inspire you greatly on your journey! Let me know if it does … I love to hear from you!
Many blessings on all, ba Shem Yeshua!
Shalom!
