Shalom from your team at Sukkot Under the Stars!
The Lord apprehended me yesterday, reminding me of the holiness of Sukkot Under the Stars, both the joy and the holiness of it, and reminding me that He is providing for everything financially through all of us. Freely it has been given to all of us, freely we will all receive. Because of that, Houses of Beauty is not charging a festival registration fee for Sukkot Under the Stars. Instead, we are asking for your blessings, financial and otherwise. Come and enjoy and contribute as the Lord leads!
Our expenses are high. Because Houses of Beauty does not yet have the financial capacity to cover this project most of its expenses are being covered by me, Wendy, personally. The immediate costs include food, food preparation, items needed for serving and eating, tables and chairs, tents for housing, the Worship tent, toilets and showers, art supplies, a pole barn, the road, water, sewage, electricity, sound equipment, storage units, plus donations for the workshop and worship leaders.
Praise God! Some people are offering to help with food preparation, others have offered to lend us their tents and others are offering to volunteer. A shout out of great thanks to those who have already donated substantially to us. J, T and S you know who you are and we are grateful!
For planning purposes we need to know who is coming, how long they are staying, if they need to use one of our tents and their initial donation amount.
We are providing all meals, but if you prefer to bring your own food, note that this is bear country and we have no on-site refrigeration. All non-perishable food items must be stored in your LOCKED car. (Bears know how to get into unlocked cars.) No exceptions. No perishable items can be stored without your own proper refrigeration.
We need a lot of volunteers, before, during and immediately after the event. Please do let us know if you have the desire and the time to link arms with us and volunteer. I am also looking for somebody with medical background who would come with a proper medical kit. Yes???

If you are going to take any of the daily the art workshops, our cost for art supplies ranges from $10-$40 per class. The ones using glass and stone are the most expensive, and the ones using paint are the least expensive.

Letters Tell Stories: Each Hebrew letter has meaning, each tells a story. We will make beautiful hanging glass reflectors out of the Hebrew letters, learning about their significance and creating meaning-filled works of art. Each person will make two reflectors. One to be used in the Heftzibah Garden (His Delight is Towards Me) on the property and the other to go home with you. We pray that every time you look at your reflector you will pray for us. Cost of materials: $25
Stepping Stones Each step of our lives, we begin and continue and complete a journey. We usually write journals of our steps on paper. But what if you could capture one moment of your journey and put it on a stone? Each participant will make two glass decorated concrete stepping stones, one to be used in the Heftzibah Garden (His Delight is Towards Me) on the property and the other to go home with you. We pray that every time you step on your stone you will pray for us. Cost of materials: $30
Rocks of Remembrance Rocks are markers in our lives. They mark our paths, and we use them, symbolically, to remember God’s Presence in our lives. In this workshop we will ask the LORD to remind us of Scriptures that have become our cornerstones, scriptures that we live within. We will paint then on stones. Then, we will paint the stones they way God leads us to communicate the essence of His word. No artistic experience is needed. You cannot mess this up. You are painting your personal response to God’s Word. Each person will paint two stones. One will be used along the pathways on the property and the other will go home with you. We pray that every time you look at your stone you will remember to pray for us. Cost of materials: $25
Art for Healing All our problems can be resolved when we understand the truth behind the lies, and choose the truth over the deceptions. When we do that, we erase the pain of the problems and enter into the joy of God’s Resolution for us. Now imagine … you can paint your way through the challenges in your life, learning how God wants to resolve w hatever your issues are, and you can walk out the other side healed.)
