Bookends: Passover, Passion and Promise

Bookends.  God loves bookends. Synchronicities.  Patterns.  Order.

Variety. Transformation. Surprises.  Change.

Spontaneous cycles, planning the unexpected, freedom and discipline.

An example of bookends…

“A river went out from Eden to water the garden,” (Gen 2:10a) and “The Tree of Life was in the midst of the Garden” (Gen 2:9b)

… becomes

“He showed me a pure river of water of Life, clear as crystal, coming from the throne of God and of the Lamb, in the middle of its street. On either side of the river, was the Tree of Life.” (Rev 22:1-2a)

The second explains the significance of the first.

What God initiated in the first He completes in the second.

More examples

Noah’s Ark lands on Mt. Ararat on the same date Yeshua rises from the dead. (Nissan 17)

The date God ended His destruction of the world became the date His Salvation came back to life.

Noah leaves the Ark on the same date as Rosh HaShanah. (1 Tishri)

Will the date Noah was able to inhabit the cleansed earth become the date God begins to create Heaven on earth?

The Book of Revelation contains all seven Feasts of the LORD.

Please see two of my teachings on the subject on youtube under “Passover, Passion and Promise.

So much to ponder in those synchronicities.

But it’s also true in the details of our lives …

God took me to Jerusalem for the last day of Pesach/Passover.  It was a complete and welcome surprise. God had asked me to create a Pesach celebration in the States, so I believed I could not go to Jerusalem.  THEN, when eleven people wanted to stay at my house in Israel just after Pesach I felt the LORD telling me to “GO” and be with them. So I booked a ticket, using miles, that cost me about $100. I didn’t even realize I was arriving in Jerusalem for the last day of the Festival.  I got to spend the final Shabbat of Pesach at the Wall, drenched in God’s Spirit, with friends, celebrating the LORD’s sacrifice and resurrection in His City.  God, YOU ARE GOOD!  And then … after a glorious, fun, celebratory two weeks in Israel, I was back in Jerusalem for one more day before returning to the States.  Bookends.

As Jerusalem is the capital of Israel and of the world, so Washington, DC is the capital of the USA. My flight back to the States included an 8 hour layover in Washington, DC.  From Capital City to Capital City, Jerusalem to DC, praying for my nations.  Smile.  Another form of bookends.

The LORD was encouraging me to stay at peace in Jerusalem, in Israel, and in Washington, DC.  To watch and enjoy whatever He showed me from PEACE, CELEBRATION and LOVE.  I saw worldly, Babylonian, Israel collapsing under the weight of Yeshua’s Love, restored to His, and to her, righteousness. I saw the White House melting into silly putty under the weight of His Truth that would heal all her nonsense so she would come out clean, like the earth in the time of Noah. I saw God’s Love manifest all over the earth in ways we cannot even begin to comprehend.  I saw us, believers, functioning like the Two Witnesses, bearing God’s Truth in our words and seeing it victorious everywhere we go.

I saw the true Capital of the world being established.  I saw God on His Throne.

At the beginning and at the end, God. Arks, Goshens, places of refuge, bringing forth His Glory.  In PEACE.  I remember Betsy Ten Boom during WWII.  His peace within her. His beauty.  His serenity in the midst of multi-national insanity. Trusting God’s Hand of Love. Sanctified. Amen.

We are in the midst of a war, and the only weapon we have that brings forth God’s Kingdom, defeating the enemy and causing God’s Light to shine is Him.  He shines through us within our shalom, love, gentleness, and commitment to His Righteousness.  Are you ready?  Am I?  It’s His time … He’s finishing the book … He’s finishing the book He finished before time began.

Shalom! Love!
