The Watchman

This is my fourth painting since the Lord started me creating prophetic missives for Him through art. Lord God, how do I talk about Who You Are in the midst of the trials and tribulations, joys and celebrations, pains and anguish, of Israel, your people throughout the Middle East, and the world? You called me to create a series of paintings of you as the Watchman over the waters and I am declaring your victory over creation through this. But I am aware that this painting is also a call to arms for your body to stand in protection over your Chosen People and the waters that surround Your land, especially Eilat. There is a wreck at the bottom right hand corner of this painting. Warning: do not stand in the way of Your heart’s desire for Your People. 

The same Rock that is the rock of stumbling for those who stand against it is the rock of safety and renewal for those who fall upon it and cling to it. The same journey to the same waters of rocky danger is the journey of mysterious discovery and loving growth for those who lean upon It. The same descent into danger, death and destruction is the same ascent into submission, stability and illumination for those who grasp ahold of You. This painting is meant to bring both a sense of security and confidence to those who choose to receive its blessing and a sense of danger and warning to those who choose to oppose it; to call forth the angels of darkness to recognize their defeat if they continue in their current path of destruction and to call forth the angels of God’s presence to bring forth his glory over all the earth as they stand with Him. May the world be aware and choose in righteousness, compassion and love. May Your peace, O LORD,  reign throughout the earth.

I wish I could somehow communicate the prescience of what God is pouring out as I’m painting this. I am trying. But it is beyond words and surely beyond my paint.
